Maitreya Magic

The only thing worse than taking a vacation from SL and needing to shop everywhere to catch up on all the releases you missed is more new releases. But, I have to say that the Maitreya new releases are definately not a bad thing, they are amazing and pure magic. I rarely buy the colors that are on display but I fell in love and had to buy it. The colors complimented each other so nicely. I paired it with an old favorite pair of jeans from League which have remained some of my most worn jeans for quite some time.

And this outfit brings an end to my Valentine's Day outfits. I survived the entire day without wearing red or pink. I urge everyone to go and spend some $ on something they love.

Choo Choo!

I see all the Christmas trees and snow surrounding us in SL, but I just can't seem to get Fall/Autumn out of my mind. I live in the south, and we are not quite in winter yet. (Not that we ever are) So, you will not see me bundled up as a snow bunny just yet, even though I promise I have the inventory of winter clothing to delight you for months. :)

For today's outfit, I was inspired by all the holiday travel. Travel by train has always intrigued me. Although, after watching the Sex and the City episode; I guess it's not as glamorous as my imagination... Thankfully, I have SL to keep it a beautiful dream.

And now, the most important part of my train ride... The clothes!

There have been some great new releases lately. In this outfit I used new releases from LeeZu Baxter and the amazing, beautiful, comfortable boots from Stiletto Moody. I couldn't go on any trip without my animals, so I am carrying my cat in the Z Bag from Zoobys. One of the most versatile unique bags in SL. I love it!

One afternoon, taking a break from reading:

I am just adoring the cold front that recently came through my hometown. I've been bundled up by the fire reading all day. It's inspired me to continue dressing in lots of layers in SL. I think I've decided to just continue wearing jackets throughout the summer in SL.. afterall, fashion is all about being different :)

Now I show off a little fun comfy and fashionable number. I took this look straight to the bookstore where I shot these pics. First off the bag, I thought this bag was perfect to carry my favorite book. It is the everyday tote by ETD. Hurry over and grab it while everything is on sale. You can't beat the prices on the fatpacks right now. And the AO with the bag is amazing. All the shots I took were using the AO built in to the bag. It's not my usual walk and stand, but I really do enjoy it. I kept extra warm in the plush winter jacket by Ibizarre which I found in their discount outlet store. Again, great price and this jacket is so well made. Everyone has been blogging the yeti jacket from Muism, but if that is out of your price range than the Ibizarre jacket is a perfect substitute. Okay.. So, a friend told me how well this outfit matched my house and I decided to shoot the photos there. Welcome to my cozy home. And now, on to the outfit!

Thank you Cachet for the new season. Oh it's dreamy. I haven't even begun to break my bank. The accessories are just as exciting as the purses. My first dress to show off from the new season is the Nicolette dress in Gray. I love Love LOVE sculpty clothing. And you can just see how deliciously soft this fabric is. The dress comes with a belt, but I opted not to wear the belt and substituted a big brown belt to go with my yummy brown leather boots from Jaywalk. Continuing with the yummy brown leather theme.. I give you the Fedora from League! It's great and you can change the colors and sizes with a click of a button. I decided on a medium length hair in blonde for contrast and this hair from Abyss does the trick. It's not flexi, which normally I would turn my head at but I do love the style of this hair. And last but not least I am wearing my favorite ever skin... Rockberry!

Food Drives are Hot!

This post is less about fashion and more about charity. My complete outfit was inspired when I volunteered at a food frive to help replenish the shelters that are currently caring for those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Ike. Yes, for those lucky enough to have homes left standing there are still homes without power, and I must tell you that while there was a "cold front" that came through it is still quite hot. I visited the New Orleans and Galveston SIMs in SL when taking the pictures of this outfit. Two places I hold dear in my heart which have suffered great tragedies in the past few years.

I urge all of you to help others during this time. Volunteer time or donate to an organization that helps those in need. Please remember the "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" motto. Remember that we are all one country, and we are also one world. We are each other's neighbors and friends.

Hello Autumn!

Fall, or Autumn if you prefer is finally here and I am so excited to start bringing out the layered clothing. Cool mornings, and warm afternoons are my favorite weather!

While waiting near the lucky chair at Zaara, something I completely admit to because that peacock dress is fabulous, I stumbled across the amazing Mitali Top and Maitri Jacket. I love this layered look and the textures are amazing. The Jacket vest flows perfectly and I adore the sculpty sleeves that came with the top. The jeans I can't seem to take off lately are from League. I am obsessed with these jeans so much I even added a little more booty (I enjoyed eating all the ice cream) ;)

Maitreya, some of my favorite shoes in SL, made the fabulous Bloom boots that are perfect to go over leggings or skin tight pants. The super cute purse is the Gordie Print Bag from Armidi Gisaci. I chose orange bracelets from ELDee just for contrast and because orange just says autumn to me.

In my favorite hairs from Shop Seu is the sexy hair. It flows great! I went all natural with my skin and opted for little makeup with a Gen. 3 skin from Aden. And I tried out some new eyes from OMFG which, yes I like!
